Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye, a Jewish milkman in 1905 Russia, who struggles to maintain his Jewish traditions as his three oldest daughters challenge the custom of arranged marriages by falling in love with men of their own choosing. Amidst generational and cultural conflict, his family and their community face escalating anti-Semitic pressure that ultimately forces them to leave their village and the only home they have ever known.
Fiddler on the Roof is a beloved Tony Award Winning Musical with over 6 Broadway Revivals and many National Tours.
Fiddler holds a special place in Deb's heart. Having twice played Hodel, one of Tevya's five daughters (many, many years ago!), now Deb plays his wife Golde!
As a special bonus, the show is directed by colleague Warren Friedman with whom Deb graduated Kent State University (again, many, many, years ago!)
